Sr. Manager, Influencer Engagement

Brighton Agency is looking for a passionate, experienced Sr. Manager to join our Influencer Engagement team. At Brighton, the Influencer Engagement team is responsible for strategies and tactics that influence by building relationships between a brand and its target audience. In this particular role, the Sr. Manager leads earned media efforts, whether those efforts include media relations and earned media tactics, working with social media influencers and brand ambassadors or driving communications, public affairs and executive visibility initiatives. At heart, the right candidate is a strategic storyteller and can deliver brand stories across a broad range of interactive and traditional mediums to resonate with target audiences, and increase brand perception and maintain corporate reputation. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Elevate Brighton’s Influencer Engagement team by bringing fresh experience and thinking to bear, challenging the norm and championing marketing communications strategies that meet or exceed the business objectives of our client

  • Learn our clients’ businesses and audiences at a depth that will enable you to effectively communicate, engage and manage industry media relations

  • Integrate consumer insights into context that builds brands

  • Actively stay informed on earned media strategies, best practices and technologies

Media Associate

The Media Associate is an integral part of the Media team and will be responsible for supporting the building and development of media planning costs across national and offline media, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, and assisting with media buys and negotiating contracts, among other duties.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supports the building and development of media planning costs across national and local offline media inclusive of television, radio, digital, print and OOH.

    • Uploads planning costs as necessary to cost files within MediaTools.

    • Updates purchase costs when necessary to Media Tools.

    • Manages and organizes flowchart updates, keeping all plans up to date.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with media vendors that can be leveraged to the benefit of Brighton and our clients.

  • Assists in developing and building media buys that are to the specifications of the strategy/planning team.

  • Assists supervisor in negotiating/evaluating advertising contracts with media companies to determine pricing and schedules in assigned markets.

  • Leads the development of and manages insertion necessary to hold and place media; works with media vendors to ensure all necessary paperwork is in-house to process billing.

  • Contributes to and helps write tactical media buy recommendation presentations.

  • Helps prepare and present post buys (when relevant and appropriate). Contributes as necessary to larger post summaries or wrap-up reports.

  • Reviews invoices from media companies and resolves any discrepancies, including but not limited to requesting compensation for advertisements that do not run when planned.

Senior Project Manager

The primary functions of the Senior Project Manager position include project and program management, occasional client management and team leadership. This position will also help Brighton elevate the business processes and best practices of our project management team. The Senior Project Manager manages complex, multi-track projects or small-scale programs to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality while maintaining a positive environment that promotes individual development and high performance standards. He/she uses advanced problem-solving skills, strong business skills, solid verbal and written communication skills, excellent relationship-building skills and strong leadership and team management skills.

He/she must have a solid understanding of project management tools and approaches to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and the flexibility to lead diverse and dynamic teams to deliver balanced digital and traditional solutions for our clients’ challenging business problems. Formal project management training and PMP certification are strongly desired.

  • Ensures a positive, collaborative work environment for the team. May supervise the work of more junior Project Managers.

  • Mentors and coaches fellow project managers and other project team members as appropriate.

  • Manages third-party freelancer, partner and/or vendor relationships, as necessary.

  • Maintains awareness of the current industry environments that shape opportunities for client solutions—e.g., news events, industry trends, technology trends, mergers, etc.

Potential candidates must possess 2-4 years of experience in an agency environment or similar. The ideal candidate would have experience in a paperless environment. We are looking for a detail-oriented, multi-tasking individual who is committed to excellence. We would consider a part-time candidate depending on depth of skills and experience.

  • Processes and codes all accounts payable invoices and expense reports and performs credit card reconciliation.

  • Prepares bi-monthly vendor payments.

  • Maintains master vendor listing.

We are a fun, geeky, passionate group looking for an equally geeky, passionate, well-rounded individual who is looking for the variety and energy of an agency environment. We are less concerned with the amount of time you have spent with any particular framework, platform or language. We are most interested in the complexity of the work you have done and your ability to successfully drive the project from architecture to deployment.
