Senior Account Director

Brighton Agency is looking for a Senior Account Director who brings the perfect blend of senior counsel, strategic leadership, and hands-on ownership across the entire marketing process.

This role is built for someone who understands business challenges, guides clients with confidence, and leads large portfolios — but is equally comfortable jumping into a status report, refining a deck, or providing clear direction to keep the team moving. You are the consultative voice clients trust and the steady leader who ensures the work is smart, organized, and effective. This position is not project management, nor is it pure strategy — it is the full package: think, lead, plan, execute.

What You’ll Lead

Senior Client Partnership & Consulting

  • Serve as the senior advisor clients rely on for clear thinking and grounded recommendations.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders by being proactive and solutions-minded.
  • Bring a consultant’s mindset to every challenge — helping clients build focus, prioritize investments, and make the right decisions across their portfolio.

Portfolio & Business Ownership

  • Lead large, multi-brand portfolios with a strong understanding of business goals, financial realities and long-term implications.
  • Help clients connect marketing decisions to actual business impact.
  • Partner on annual planning, budget allocation, forecasting, and investment decisions.

Hands-On Leadership Across the Work

  • Guide internal teams with clarity and thoughtful direction — but also jump in where needed.
  • Update status reports, build decks, refine briefs, and keep work organized when the team needs support.
  • Ensure every deliverable ladders up to the bigger picture and reflects a clear strategic throughline.

Integrated Marketing Direction

  • Lead cross-functional internal teams and inter-agency relationships (Creative, Digital, Media, Content) toward solutions that are aligned, achievable, and effective.
  • Help clients navigate which channels, tactics, and messages matter most.
  • Translate business needs into actionable direction for creative and digital teams.

Financial Leadership

  • Lead conversations around budgets and investment shifts with clarity and confidence.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities rooted in genuine client need.

What You Bring

  • 12–18 years leading major accounts or portfolios in an advertising/marketing agency or consultancy firm.
  • A proven track record as the senior partner clients trust most — consultative, steady, and business-minded.
  • A comfort level operating at all levels of the work: big-picture thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Strong financial acumen: forecasting, scopes, monthly reporting, revenue planning.
  • Experience in agriculture, pet care, CPG or similarly complex categories is strongly valued.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; you bring clarity to ambiguity.
  • A strong comfort level developing strategy decks that can both meet the objective, while telling a larger brand story.
