UI/UX Designer
Brighton’s digital team is growing and we’re looking for a passionate designer who champions user-centered design and thinking from start to finish. In this role, you will become a key part of Brighton’s digital success, creating visually delightful and easy-to-use experiences. You demonstrate a strong understanding of the design process and can fluently apply it to your work. You are proficient in taking problems and opportunities and framing them in a way that will lead to the best outcome.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop conceptual treatments and designs for websites, landing pages, apps, banners, social media and other digital content
- Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes; knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to make low-fi sketches and prototypes
- Incorporate strong design theory including user flow and navigation
- Manage multiple projects at a time and work with efficiency
- Collaborate on designing UI wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Meet with clients to present designs and incorporate direct feedback
- Prepare designs for production, including exporting and delivering optimized assets
- Take full ownership of your work, every step of the way
- Stay abreast of and have a passion for user experience and interaction design trends
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3+ years professional digital design experience for an agency or in-house at a major brand
- Must be a conceptual and strategic thinker
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to take individual initiative and self-manage
- Exceptional design skills, production value, and attention to detail required
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and other associated design tools, particularly Adobe XD is required
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS to inform strong design concepts
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to grasp multiple project requirements
- Working knowledge of WordPress is a plus
- Online portfolio of relevant work for review is required
